Mathematics didn’t come easily to Sarah Caddy at school but when she was studying physics at university Sarah came to see maths as a language for understanding the universe. Now Sarah is an astronomer and astrophysicist and a doctoral researcher at Macquarie University working on the Huntsman Telescope.
Sarah takes us through some foundational knowledge about the universe, explains what has been postulated about life on other planets, and shares thoughts on the potential for space tourism to change humanity for the better.
Other telescope related projects Sarah works on and describes are SkyHopper with the University of Melbourne and SkySurf with Arizona State University.
